1. About NCO Logger
NCO Logger is an amateur-radio net logging, participation, and communication service operated by the West Valley Amateur Radio Club (WVARC).
You may use portions of the service without signing in where NCO Logger permits it. Account-based and participation features may require authentication.
NCO Logger is not an emergency communications service and does not guarantee suitability for emergency communications.
2. Accounts and Callsign Information
You are responsible for providing reasonably accurate account and profile information. Where a feature requires a callsign or authenticated profile, you must provide the information required by that feature.
You must not intentionally:
- Impersonate another person or amateur-radio operator.
- Use another person's account without authorization.
- Provide misleading identity or callsign information for abusive or deceptive purposes.
- Attempt to obtain unauthorized access to another account.
3. Acceptable Use
You must not use NCO Logger to:
- Harass, threaten, or abuse others.
- Send spam or intentionally disruptive messages.
- Upload or distribute unlawful or malicious material.
- Damage, disable, overload, exploit, or interfere with NCO Logger.
- Attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data.
- Deliberately interfere with another user's net operation.
- Use automated methods in a way that intentionally disrupts or places unreasonable load on the service.
4. Nets and Participation
NCO Logger provides tools for creating, managing, viewing, and participating in amateur-radio nets. You remain responsible for your own radio operation and compliance with rules applicable to your amateur-radio activities.
NCO Logger does not grant permission to transmit on any frequency, repeater, reflector, talkgroup, or other radio system.
Information about nets, schedules, frequencies, modes, participants, and connection methods may be supplied by users and may not always be complete or current.
5. Net Control and Net Owners
Net owners, co-owners, Net Control Operators, loggers, and other operational roles may have different capabilities within NCO Logger.
Net owners and Net Control Operators are responsible for how they operate and moderate their nets. NCO Logger provides operational tools, but WVARC does not direct or endorse every statement, decision, or action made by an individual net owner, Net Control Operator, logger, or participant.
6. Chat, Messages, and Uploaded Content
NCO Logger provides communication features associated with live nets. You are responsible for the messages and images you submit.
- Use public chat for communication associated with the live net and its community.
- Direct or private messaging does not make inappropriate or abusive conduct acceptable.
- Do not upload content that you do not have permission to share.
- You may delete your own messages where that feature is supported.
- Net Control Operators may moderate public chat using available tools.
WVARC may remove content or restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect users, the community, or operation of the service. The Privacy Policy describes how NCO Logger handles information associated with chat and uploaded content.
7. Net Profiles and Ownership
Users may create and manage saved net profiles and may share management through supported co-owner functionality. Profile ownership refers only to management permissions within NCO Logger.
Creating a profile does not establish ownership or exclusive rights over an amateur-radio frequency, repeater, reflector, talkgroup, callsign, net name, club name, or any other external radio resource or identifier.
8. Moderation and Account Restrictions
WVARC may reasonably remove inappropriate content, restrict abusive use, suspend or remove accounts used to disrupt or abuse the service, and take protective action when necessary for security or reliable operation.
Questions about moderation or account action may be sent through Contact NCO Logger.
9. Account Deletion
You can request account deletion through NCO Logger's Data Privacy settings. The Privacy Policy describes how account and associated data are handled.
After 3 years without a login, NCO Logger sends an inactivity warning email and keeps the account active for another 30 days. Signing in during that warning period cancels inactivity deletion. Continued inactivity after the warning period may result in deletion.
10. Service Availability and Information Accuracy
NCO Logger may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, failures, updates, or circumstances outside WVARC's control. WVARC may change, repair, update, or discontinue features as the service evolves.
User-supplied information may be inaccurate or outdated. External information, including callsign or profile information obtained through third-party services, may also contain errors or become outdated. Verify important radio operating information through appropriate sources.
11. Third-Party Services
NCO Logger uses third-party services for certain functions, including authentication, email delivery, callsign information, and profile images or other resources. Your use of those services may also be governed by their own terms and policies.
12. Changes to NCO Logger and These Terms
NCO Logger and these Terms may be updated as the service changes. Material changes to these Terms will be reflected by updating the Last Updated date and, where appropriate, notifying users through the service.
