1. About This Cookie Policy
NCO Logger is operated by the West Valley Amateur Radio Club (WVARC). This policy explains the cookie used directly by the current NCO Logger deployment and how browser cookie controls affect the service.
2. Essential Session Cookie
NCO Logger uses an essential signed session cookie to:
- Keep you signed in.
- Associate your browser session with your authenticated account.
- Maintain necessary session-renewal state.
- Support authenticated areas and features of NCO Logger.
The cookie contains the application's serialized user identifier and session-related state. It does not contain your Google password or email-account password.
The cookie is httpOnly, which means ordinary browser scripts cannot read it. It also uses SameSite=Lax to restrict when the browser sends it with cross-site navigation.
3. How Long the Session Lasts
The session cookie has a maximum age of approximately 3.5 days. NCO Logger may renew the session during continued activity. Signing out or clearing the cookie ends its use for that browser session.
4. Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking
The current NCO Logger deployment does not use:
- Advertising cookies.
- Analytics cookies.
- Behavioral-tracking cookies.
The essential session cookie is used for authentication and session operation, not advertising, analytics, or behavioral tracking.
5. Third-Party Services
NCO Logger uses some third-party services, including Google authentication and externally provided resources or services. When you interact directly with a third-party service, that provider may use its own cookies according to its own practices.
Cookies controlled by those providers are separate from the NCO Logger session cookie described in this policy. NCO Logger does not control third-party cookies.
6. Managing Cookies
You can use your browser controls to clear or block cookies. Because the NCO Logger session cookie is necessary for authentication, blocking or deleting it can:
- Sign you out.
- Prevent your sign-in from remaining active.
- Prevent authenticated parts of NCO Logger from functioning normally.
NCO Logger does not currently require you to accept advertising, analytics, or behavioral-tracking cookies because it does not use them.
7. Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated if NCO Logger's cookie or session practices materially change. The current Effective Date and Last Updated date appear at the top of this page.
8. Contact Us
